Mega One Two #Fever Punch!

Fevers are God’s way of ridding our bodies of toxins, but once they reach a certain level we need to take action. Our daughter had a fever last night around 8 pm and we started the Peppermint application every 15-30 minutes, followed by Lavender as it got closer to bedtime.


We also applied “The Bomb” on the soles of her feet, then put some socks on her because despite her fever, she was still very active:).


She woke up at 3am and requested an orange. She ended up eating two oranges and one apple. Thanks Ruth for the apple suggestion! These fruits really helped keep her hydrated.

We finally went to bed around 6am and woke up at 10am and she felt normal. Praise God the fever broke!

I did apply one more application of “The Bomb” roll-on just in case, but all is well tonight and she’s back to her usual self.

We are thankful to have alternative resources right at our fingers tips. CPTG essential oils with only good side effects!

*As a precautionary – the rest of us in the house took “The Bomb” via capsule. Better be safe than sorry.

dōTERRA #Grapefruit Essential Oil Q&A

Due to a recent article referencing the effects of grapefruit mixed with statin drugs several have grown concerned and have questioned whether therapeutic essential oil would fall into that category. You can read the article here.

Below you will find several questions posed to the company regarding CPTG grapefruit essential oil and their responses.

Does grapefruit and blends that include grapefruit affect people on statins?

The components of grapefruit that interact with medications are not the same as the pure aromatic compounds of the grapefruit essential oil and we have not found any issues in this regard. There is a lot of research on the fruit and interactions, but there is not a lot of research regarding the essential oil. We recommend that people under a physician’s care consult their physician with any concerns before beginning a new product. Many essential oils share similar properties so if someone would like to avoid grapefruit they can look to use another citrus oils which shares similar benefits.

I have parents who are on blood thinners, cholesterol medicine, and high blood pressure medicine … but my mother is open to doTerra (and is using) some of my doTerra products, and she has, in fact, purchased many of the oils from me. However, when searching for an oil to treat a condition that she has (i.e., periodic/some days has aching in her arthritic knees, tightness in them and her claves, and just general tension in the lower legs/knees; she says it’s worse when she is out here in WY visiting, as opposed to home in Ohio – altitude?), …well, she wanted to try grapefruit EO. We also wanted to try grapefruit on my father (a very skeptical, in general, physicist/engineer – ugh!). However, their doctors tell them not to eat grapefruit because of the meds (listed above) they take. The doctors have said that grapefruit interacts adversely with such medications. Have you had any cases where someone has used grapefruit EO in such situations (on the above kinds of meds) and had an adverse reaction, as grapefruit is indicated and stressed by current medical literature on these medications? We know of no specific reaction or contraindication that essential oils have with medications and have not found any issues in this regard. We always recommend that people under a physician’s care consult there physician before beginning a new product. The components of grapefruit are different from the aromatic compounds of grapefruit essential oil. There is a lot of research regarding the interaction with grapefruit and medications, but there is not a lot of research regarding grapefruit essential oil in this regard. We have not found any issues in this regard, but again we recommend consulting your physician.

Is it safe to use Grapefruit essential oil or Slim & Sassy while on cholesterol medication that states “do not eat or drink grapefruit with this medication”?
